Education
- Our curriculum and staff recognize that each child is a unique person, with his or her own pattern of growth, development, and learning style; therefore teaching is individualized to honor each child's rate of development
- Our program realizes the importance of continuity by providing a quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum and working closely with the public schools to ensure children are confident in their abilities and maintain the skills they have mastered
- Program options include:
- Single Session: Morning session only, September thru May
- Two Session: Morning and afternoon sessions, September thru May
- Full Day Session: Full day services provided for twelve months
Nutrition
- Centers provide children 2 meals daily
- Nutritional assessments for each child
- Necessary supplements or diet changes if needed
Family and Community Partnerships
Our goal is to create and sustain a partnership and collaboration with all Head Start parents. We achieve this by:Families build the confidence, skills and knowledge they need to access community resources on their behalf by:
- Supporting parents as primary educators, nurturers and advocates for their children
- Providing every parent with opportunities for a significant experience in Head Start
- Ensuring that parents are involved in making policy and program decisions for their Head Start program.
- Working together and providing leadership to strengthen their community
- Relating the needs of Head Start families to the community
- Assist in improving existing services or bringing in new services
- Participate in the classroom as paid employees, volunteers and observers
- Helping to develop and participate in activities at the center level for all parents
- Working with their children in cooperation with the staff of the Head Start center
